Training Programme Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 September 2026

These Training Programme Terms & Conditions apply when you subscribe to the Angling Performance online training programme and membership community provided through Skool.

The programme is provided by Nigel Shipp, trading as Angling Performance.

Please read these terms before joining. By purchasing a membership and participating in the programme, you agree to these terms.

1. About the Angling Performance Programme

Angling Performance is an online fitness and performance training programme developed specifically around the physical demands placed upon anglers.

The programme combines structured training phases, instructional videos, nutritional guidance, community access and support to help members progressively develop their physical preparation for angling.

The membership is provided through the Skool platform. Skool provides the online platform and processes membership subscription payments.

2. Membership Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to participate in the Angling Performance Skool training programme.

Members under the age of 18 should have the permission of a parent or legal guardian before joining and participating in the programme.

Angling Performance reserves the right to request confirmation of age where reasonably necessary.

3. Health and Fitness Responsibility

The Angling Performance online training programme provides general structured fitness and performance training designed around the physical demands of angling.

As the online programme is not individually prescribed or supervised one-to-one training, members are responsible for considering whether they are physically able to participate safely.

If you have an existing medical condition, injury, take medication that may affect exercise, have been advised to restrict physical activity, or have any concerns about your ability to exercise safely, you should seek appropriate advice from a doctor or other suitably qualified healthcare professional before beginning the programme.

You should not undertake any exercise that you have been advised by a healthcare professional to avoid.

4. Changes to Your Health

You are responsible for considering any changes to your health or physical condition while participating in the programme.

This includes new injuries, medical conditions, significant symptoms, changes to relevant medication or medical advice that may affect your ability to exercise safely.

If your circumstances change and you are unsure whether you should continue with the programme, you should stop the relevant training and seek appropriate professional medical advice before continuing.

5. How the Programme Works

The Angling Performance programme has been designed as a progressive series of training phases.

New members begin with Phase One – Bankside Foundations. This phase is designed to establish the appropriate foundations before progressing to more demanding training.

Members must complete the appropriate phase before progressing to the next stage of the programme, including Phase Two – Strength Through the Session and subsequent phases.

This progressive approach is intentional. Each stage is designed to help prepare members for the demands of the training that follows.

Members should not deliberately bypass programme stages or undertake more advanced exercises before they are appropriately prepared to do so.

6. What Your Membership Includes

Membership may include:

  • Access to specifically designed progressive training phases
  • Training and instructional videos
  • Access to the Angling Performance Skool community
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Member support
  • Questions and answers relating to the programme
  • Access to programme updates and relevant educational material

The precise content available may develop and change over time as Angling Performance improves, expands or updates the programme.

7. Standard Membership Is Not Personal Training

Standard Angling Performance membership provides access to the structured programme and associated guidance. It does not include an individual movement screening, health assessment or a personally designed one-to-one training programme.

Members requiring individual assessment, movement screening or a personalised training programme should enquire about the separate Angling Performance one-to-one coaching service.

8. Membership Subscription

Angling Performance membership operates as a rolling monthly subscription.

There is no minimum subscription period for the standard Skool membership.

Your subscription will continue and the applicable membership fee will be charged on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel it.

Although Angling Performance advertises membership prices in pounds sterling for UK customers, subscription payments are processed through Skool in US dollars (USD).

The actual subscription price and currency displayed by Skool at checkout is the amount that will be processed by Skool.

9. Standard Membership Price

The standard Angling Performance membership is advertised at approximately £49 per month.

The subscription is processed through Skool at $70 USD per month.

Because the payment is processed in US dollars, the final amount charged to you in pounds sterling may vary according to the exchange rate applied by your bank or card provider at the time of payment. Your bank or card provider may also apply a currency conversion or foreign transaction fee.

The £49 figure displayed by Angling Performance should therefore be regarded as an approximate sterling equivalent of the $70 monthly Skool subscription rather than a guaranteed sterling charge.

10. Introductory Offer – First 50 Members

The first 50 eligible members to join Angling Performance will be offered an introductory subscription rate.

The introductory offer is advertised at approximately £39 per month and is processed through Skool at $50 USD per month.

Because payment is processed in US dollars, the final sterling amount charged may vary according to the exchange rate and any currency conversion or foreign transaction fees applied by your bank or card provider.

The introductory offer is limited to the first 50 qualifying memberships and will no longer be available to new members once those places have been taken.

Members who secure the introductory offer will retain the $50 USD monthly subscription rate for as long as their qualifying membership remains continuously active and payments remain up to date.

The introductory rate is linked to the continuous membership and cannot be transferred to another person.

11. Cancelling an Introductory Membership

If a member receiving the introductory rate cancels their membership, their entitlement to that introductory pricing will end.

If they subsequently decide to rejoin Angling Performance, they will join at the standard membership price applicable at that time.

The previous introductory rate will not be reinstated simply because the individual was one of the first 50 members.

12. Cancelling Your Membership

You may cancel your Angling Performance membership at any time through the applicable Skool subscription controls.

There is no membership freeze or pause facility.

If you do not wish your membership to renew, you must cancel the subscription before the next scheduled payment is processed.

After cancellation, you will normally continue to have access to Angling Performance until the end of the subscription period you have already paid for.

Your access will then end unless you subsequently purchase a new membership.

13. Rejoining After Cancellation

You may rejoin Angling Performance after cancelling, subject to the programme remaining available and you continuing to meet the eligibility requirements.

You will be charged the membership price available to new members at the time you rejoin.

Previous promotional or introductory pricing will not automatically carry over to a new subscription.

14. Refunds

Membership payments are generally non-refundable once the relevant subscription period has begun and programme access has been provided, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer law.

Cancelling your membership prevents future renewals but does not normally generate a refund for a subscription period that has already been paid for.

You will normally retain access until the end of that paid subscription period.

This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

15. Consumer Cancellation Rights

Depending on the circumstances and how the membership is purchased, UK consumers may have statutory cancellation rights in relation to contracts entered into online.

Where you expressly request immediate access to digital content or services during a statutory cancellation period, your cancellation rights may be affected once performance or supply has begun, in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or restrict consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Skool and Payment Processing

Membership accounts and subscription payments are administered through Skool and its associated payment infrastructure.

Angling Performance does not receive or store your complete payment card details.

You are responsible for ensuring that the payment information associated with your Skool subscription remains valid and up to date.

Skool and its payment providers may operate under their own terms, privacy policies and payment conditions in addition to these Angling Performance terms.

17. Failed Payments

If a recurring membership payment fails, access to some or all of the programme may be suspended or terminated in accordance with the payment and membership facilities provided through Skool.

Where appropriate, you may need to update your payment method or complete an outstanding payment before membership access can continue.

18. Exercise and Training Risk

Physical exercise involves inherent risks and individual responses to training vary.

You are responsible for following programme instructions, using appropriate equipment and exercising within your capabilities.

You should not undertake an exercise where you have been advised by a medical or healthcare professional not to do so.

You should also ensure that the environment in which you train is reasonably safe and that any equipment you use is appropriate and in suitable condition.

19. Nutrition Information

Nutritional information provided through Angling Performance is intended to support fitness, training, recovery and performance goals.

General nutritional guidance is not intended to diagnose, treat or manage a medical condition and should not be regarded as a substitute for individual medical or dietetic advice where this is required.

Members with medical conditions, allergies, intolerances, prescribed dietary requirements or other circumstances requiring specialist nutritional advice should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

20. No Guaranteed Results

Angling Performance cannot guarantee specific improvements in strength, fitness, body composition, movement, health or angling performance.

Results vary between individuals and may depend upon factors including starting condition, training consistency, nutrition, recovery, lifestyle, health and adherence to the programme.

21. Member Conduct and Community Use

Members are expected to behave respectfully when participating in the Angling Performance community.

You must not use the community to harass, threaten or abuse other members, publish unlawful or inappropriate material, impersonate another person, distribute spam or deliberately disrupt the community.

Members should also avoid presenting personal opinions as professional medical advice or encouraging other members to disregard appropriate medical guidance.

Serious or repeated misuse of the community may result in content being removed or membership access being restricted or terminated.

22. Account Sharing

Your Angling Performance membership is personal to you.

You must not share your Skool account or membership access with another person or allow another person to use your membership to access paid Angling Performance content.

23. Programme Content and Intellectual Property

Training programmes, videos, educational materials, written content, graphics and other Angling Performance materials are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.

Your membership gives you permission to access and use this material for your own personal training purposes while you have the appropriate access.

You must not copy, reproduce, record, redistribute, sell, publish, share or commercially exploit membership content without prior permission from Angling Performance.

24. Changes to the Programme

Angling Performance may develop, update or replace exercises, videos, training phases, educational material and other programme features over time.

Reasonable changes may be made where necessary to improve the programme, reflect updated training practices, maintain the service or introduce new material.

We will not deliberately remove the fundamental substance of the paid membership without appropriate consideration of members’ consumer rights.

25. Suspension or Termination of Membership

Angling Performance may suspend or terminate access where there is serious or repeated misuse of the programme or community, account sharing, unlawful behaviour, abuse directed towards other members or Angling Performance, or a significant breach of these terms.

Any decision to suspend or terminate a paid membership will take account of the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.

26. Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information associated with your Angling Performance membership will be handled in accordance with the Angling Performance Privacy Policy.

Standard online membership does not include individual health screening, movement screening or the creation of a personally prescribed training programme.

If you separately enquire about or undertake one-to-one coaching, additional information may be required as part of that service and will be handled in accordance with the Angling Performance Privacy Policy.

27. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Angling Performance is not responsible for injury or loss caused by deliberately disregarding programme instructions, undertaking exercises contrary to medical advice, using unsuitable or unsafe equipment, or exercising in an unsafe environment, except to the extent that responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

28. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights provided by the laws applicable where you live.

29. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the Angling Performance programme, Skool, applicable law or the way the service operates.

The latest version will be made available through the Angling Performance website or programme as appropriate.
