Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the cancellation, refund and payment arrangements that apply to services provided by Nigel Shipp, trading as Angling Performance.

Different arrangements apply to the Angling Performance online training membership and personalised one-to-one coaching. Please read the section relevant to the service you purchase.

You can contact Angling Performance at:

Email: nigelshipp@anglingperformance.com
Telephone: 07456 477077
Website: anglingperformance.com

1. Online Training Membership

The Angling Performance online training programme and membership community is provided through Skool and operates as a rolling monthly subscription.

There is no minimum subscription period for the standard online membership.

Your subscription will continue to renew monthly until you cancel it.

2. Cancelling Your Online Membership

You may cancel your Angling Performance online membership at any time using the applicable subscription controls provided through Skool.

If you do not want another monthly payment to be taken, you should cancel your subscription before your next scheduled renewal payment is processed.

Cancellation prevents future subscription renewals but does not normally end access immediately.

You will normally continue to have access to the Angling Performance programme and community until the end of the subscription period you have already paid for.

3. Online Membership Refunds

Membership payments are generally non-refundable once the relevant subscription period has begun and access to the programme has been provided, except where a refund is required under applicable consumer law.

If you choose to cancel part-way through a paid membership period, you will not normally receive a full or partial refund for the unused portion of that period.

Instead, your membership will normally remain active until the end of the period already paid for.

4. Membership Freeze or Pause

The standard Angling Performance online membership does not currently include a facility to freeze or pause a subscription.

If you no longer wish to continue paying for membership, you should cancel your subscription.

You may subsequently rejoin, subject to the programme remaining available and the eligibility requirements in force at that time.

5. Rejoining the Online Programme

If you cancel your membership and later decide to return, you will join at the membership price available to new members at that time.

Previous promotional prices are not automatically retained after cancellation.

6. Founding Member Cancellations

The first 50 eligible Angling Performance members may qualify for the Founding Member subscription rate.

The Founding Member rate applies only while the qualifying membership remains continuously active and payments remain up to date.

If a Founding Member cancels their membership, their entitlement to the Founding Member price ends.

If they later rejoin, they will be charged the standard membership price applicable at the time they return. The previous Founding Member rate will not be reinstated.

7. Failed or Duplicate Membership Payments

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly or have been charged more than once for the same subscription period, please contact Angling Performance as soon as reasonably possible.

Where a genuine duplicate or incorrect payment is identified, Angling Performance will work with the relevant payment provider or Skool as appropriate to resolve the issue.

Failed payments may result in membership access being suspended or terminated in accordance with the facilities and processes provided through Skool.

8. One-to-One Coaching

Personalised one-to-one coaching is a separate service from the Angling Performance online membership.

Unless a different arrangement is specifically agreed before coaching begins, one-to-one coaching has a minimum initial commitment of three months.

After the initial three-month period, coaching continues on a monthly basis until cancelled in accordance with the agreed notice period.

9. Cancelling One-to-One Coaching

After the minimum initial commitment has been completed, clients wishing to end their ongoing coaching arrangement must provide one month’s notice.

Cancellation notice should be provided directly to Angling Performance.

Payments falling due during the applicable notice period remain payable unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

10. Cancelling Individual Coaching Sessions

If you cannot attend an agreed coaching session, you should notify Angling Performance as soon as reasonably possible.

Where at least 24 hours’ notice is provided, Angling Performance will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the session to another mutually convenient date and time, subject to availability.

If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, the session will normally be treated as used and will not be refunded or carried forward.

11. Missed Coaching Sessions

If you fail to attend an agreed coaching session without providing notice, the session will normally be treated as used.

A missed session does not automatically entitle you to a replacement session, refund or reduction in your recurring coaching payment.

12. Sessions Cancelled by Angling Performance

If Angling Performance needs to cancel or rearrange an agreed coaching session, the session will be rescheduled to the next mutually convenient date and time.

A session cancelled by Angling Performance will not be treated as having been used by the client.

If Angling Performance is unable to provide an appropriate replacement for a paid session, an appropriate alternative, credit or refund will be considered according to the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.

13. Illness, Injury or Medical Reasons

If a one-to-one coaching client becomes injured, unwell or medically unable to continue training, they should contact Angling Performance as soon as possible.

Where appropriate, the coaching arrangement and recurring payments may be paused until the client is reasonably fit to resume training.

Angling Performance may request appropriate medical clearance before coaching recommences where this is reasonably necessary.

The duration and practical arrangements for a medical pause will be agreed according to the individual circumstances.

14. Refunds for One-to-One Coaching

Payments for coaching services that have already been provided are normally non-refundable.

Refunds are not normally provided for sessions lost because the client cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or failed to attend.

Where coaching cannot be provided by Angling Performance, or where another circumstance gives rise to a statutory right to a refund, the appropriate remedy will be provided.

Any other exceptional refund request will be considered according to the individual circumstances but is not guaranteed.

15. Ending Coaching During the Initial Commitment

The standard one-to-one coaching arrangement includes an initial three-month minimum commitment.

A client who simply changes their mind or decides they no longer wish to continue training during this period will not normally be entitled to end the agreed minimum commitment early without payment of amounts properly due under the agreement.

However, circumstances involving illness, injury or another significant reason preventing continued participation may be considered individually, including the possibility of pausing the coaching arrangement where appropriate.

Nothing in this section removes any statutory cancellation or other consumer rights that apply.

16. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace rights provided to consumers under applicable UK law.

Contracts entered into remotely or online may carry statutory cancellation rights in certain circumstances.

The application of these rights can depend upon the type of service purchased, when the service begins and whether the consumer has expressly requested that the service starts during an applicable cancellation period.

Where a consumer has a statutory right to cancel, Angling Performance will comply with the applicable legal requirements.

17. How Refunds Are Made

Where a refund is due, it will normally be returned using an appropriate method connected with the original payment arrangement where reasonably possible.

Where payments have been processed by a third-party platform or payment provider, the timing and method of the refund may also be subject to that provider’s processing arrangements.

18. Changes to This Policy

Angling Performance may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to its services, payment arrangements or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on the Angling Performance website and the date at the top of the policy will be updated when material changes are made.
